Bombay Brasserie | Must visit Restaurant in Kolkata | City Food Guide
Rediscover the secrets of experimental Indian cuisine wherein you are transported to the old world charm yet get the modern, contemporary taste at Bombay Brasserie. The cafe cum restaurant tucked away at Quest Mall, Kolkata invited us on a weekend brunch. We had an array of starters, main course and dessert in the brunch – and not to mention the amazing cocktails. The travel editor of Blackboard witnessed the live preparation of the cocktail ‘Go Goa Gone’ – a video will be soon uploaded on the recipe.
If you live in Kolkata or are visiting the city for the first time for a stay, we recommend Bombay Brasserie as a must visit restaurant. Be it North Indian cuisine, Rajasthani thali, Keralite culinary delights, or even Naga dishes, you name it, you have it here. Not to forget their amazingly refreshing cocktails.
Blackboard tried the succulent Bombay Dabba Gosht, the vivacious Nawabi Gosht Biryani, Churchur Parantha, Kebabs in the main course. Our favourite was the Bombay Dabba Gosht for its delicate, tender and soft meat and rich gravy with the toppings of an Omlette. A perfect combination for any meat lover. What do you say!
Vegetarians – fret not! They have ample dishes for you as well. However, we didn’t try much of the vegetarian delicacies except the devilishly delicious and soft ‘Aam Papad Paneer’ which was bursting with a tangy and sweet flavours of mango and paneer all mixed together in a tantalising dish.
