Japanese Forest: Discover a slice of Japan inside Eco Park, Rajarhat

Watch the video

We discovered this hidden gem inside Eco Park Rajarhat on a weekend. Tucked away near the Gate No. 1 (enter from the gate of the upcoming Eiffel Tower / Café Ekante), you get a feel of the Japanese country right from the moment you enter Japanese Forest. What’s unbelievable is that you have the magnificent Eco Park lake right in front of you.

If you are coming by car, there is a designated parking lot once you enter. Park your car, hit the walking track and book yourself a delightful Darjeeling Himalayan Railway toy train for an immersive experience of the entire park before you enter the Forest.

There is an entry fee to the Forest that houses a stunning and splendid Japanese Temple, a perfectly manicured garden with ample lightings and a beautiful restaurant that serves delightful authentic Japanese cuisine. The restaurant is maintained by the international chain of Fuji which has an outlet in Sarat Bose Road.

After a perfect evening stroll inside the Japanese Forest park, we sat down inside the restaurant for an unbelievable meal.

We had the unbelievably delicious Japanese Pizza, mouth watering Wanton Soup, delightful Prawn Tempura, the formidable Cheese Maki and Chicken Karaage. We had also ordered couple of refreshing drinks in the beginning. The Wanton Soup was definitely my favourite, besides the crispy and crunchy Prawn Tempura.

Blackboard’s Recommendation: Go for the Wanton Soup and Prawn Tempura

If you have not visited Japanese Forest and Restaurant in Eco Park, we definitely recommend visiting it soon. It’s pure bliss. An ultimate spot to unwind, relax and rejuvenate with some unmatched foodie delicacies right from the heart of Japan.
