Dr. Suborno Bose, Chairman, IIHM, educationist and entrepreneur won the Hyatt Culinary Challenge of Hyatt Regency Kolkata hosted by the luxury property in presence of actor Prosenjit Chatterjee on 29 October.

To emphasize Hyatt’s focus on its rich culinary heritage, Hyatt hotels across India celebrates ‘Hyatt Culinary Challenge – People cooking for People’.

Hyatt Culinary Challenge: A Battle of Taste, Aroma and Presentation

The Hyatt Culinary Challenge was conceptualized as an unique event that will bring together individuals from the corporate realm on a common platform where they could showcase their culinary expertise and passion for food in an interactive culinary event. This culinary event also supports a cause by supporting a NGO.

Mandeep M Singh, Centre Director, GSC Kolkata, HSBC was declared the Runner’s Up coming close to winning the title. This year, the competition was kept amongst six corporate professionals. The judge was eminent food critic Nondon Bagchi, Executive Chef, Clement D’Cruz and Birgit Holm, General Manager, Hyatt Regency Kolkata.

The battle of the best platter was judged on taste, aroma and presentation. Key participants included Nilufer Bose Archment, Honorary Consulate, Republic of Turkey, Kolkata, Vikas Somani, Videocon, Sakshi Sircar, Digital Radio Broadcasting Kolkata and fashion designer Komal Sood.
